Five Video Shot Practice

First Shotssss

The first video I recorded was an extreme close up of my friend Emily putting on mascara. I got some inspiration from those getting ready montage in the beginning of coming of age movies. It didn't really come out how i wanted, but i still liked it.

Then I did a ground shot of Emily’s Blazers. Originally, I had planned to do low angle shot, however, I shot the clip like 3 times and i kinda felt bad asking Emily to keep stepping. I wish I had kept trying to get what I had envisioned.

Here I did a wide shot of Emily sitting next to a tree in our school garden. At this point I had kinda run out of ideas. I wanted to go for a Call Me By Your Name aesthetic and i thought this little tree with little yellow flowers could convey it well.

I really tried get a nice shot of our garden with this extreme wide shot but it just didn’t come out how i imagined. The school in the background is kinda making it look like a prison yard. I added Emily to it to try and give a more wistful feel but it just doesn’t capture what I had imagined.

Emily is back at the tree from earlier but from an aerial shot. I really like this shot and how it came out. I had no idea how the shot was going to come out and was completely out of inspiration. But I think it blends with the other clips, and they have the same vibe. A butterfly even flies through in the middle and perfectly fits in with everything else.
