Peer Critiques

 

So today we were tasked with criticizing two of my classmates transition videos, which i wrote about in my last blog. Ive will be reviewing Emily Jaramillo's and Anais Marcos' blog.

Emily

Out of the all of the three transitions, my favorite are the walking jump cuts. It shows a character shoes walking on various textures in a school setting. The editing process must of been gruesome because all the clips are the same speed and just flows really well. It really does give the effect of a girl being lost, and just wandering around the school. 

The other shot i really liked, is the iris fade. After watching i can infer this girl is i doing some homework and looks a bit stressed. The iris at the beginning shows it the start of the scene. It kinda serves as a juxtaposition since the iris is a bit comedic and the girl seems stressed.

The sound/object transitions was soo good it could be in a movie.
