Transitions
Beginning transitions
This first video initially was supposed to be a seamless transition between Emily walking then her sitting at the tree. However it didn't really work out like that after i saw the clips. I had a really difficult time trying to edit everything together to look seamless and i was getting really frustrated that it wasn't coming out how i envisioned. After like 20 minutes, I decided it would better as desolve transition.
Since all of my other videos we just with Emily, i had to go a little bit out my comfort-zone and ask someone from another group to help me out. At least, me vision was to have them walking away from the camera.
I really like how this transition came out. i added music to this one, which i didnt do with the others. It first i attempted to edit it in Premier Pro because im trying to get certified in it in another class, but i gave up and continued on imovie.
Same with the first one i didnt originally intended for this to be a match cut. To be fair i didnt have an idea for what i wanted. Be still i really like how this video came out.
Great job on those transitions! Really impressive job on those transitions, The fluidity was great, I liked the flow of both the match cut and dissolve transitions. I was overall impressed, but I felt the only problem was that the Iris lacked a bit of focus. However, definitely a great set of transitions.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved these transitions, specifically the dissolve and the match cut! The dissolve transition really connected two separate scenes together. It really helped to see the character's though process/daily life. Additionally, the match cut was very well done as well. The connection of two similar circumstances into one scene really highlights the familiarity while also showing the differences between the shots.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work!
You did a wonderful job Rebecca! Your actress is super pretty btw, I'd love to see more of her in the future ;). Out of the three transitions, I really loved the iris the most, as well as the match cut! They were quite impressive, especially for it being your first time filming something like this. Overall, there's quite a lot of emotions that can be felt through the screen. In the dissolve transition, I felt as though this clip was a lot more melancholic and reflective, or perhaps relaxing, as she's sitting on the ground and laying on the tree. Additionally, in the match cut, it's really cute how both people in the video seem to be content and laid back, and it also provides and interesting comparison between them.
