Challenges in film
Welcommeee back my lovely followers!!!!!! Last time we talked about my first filming day, but today we are talking about the challenges of filming. The amount of time it took us to finish the first was wayyyy more then i expected. I was planing to spent like 2 hours filming, but we were there from like 3:30 to like 8.
For the first shot with the alarm clock, I needed to have the correct time. So, everytime we had to do the shot, we had to move the time back. Which it wouldn't normally be a big deal, but we had to re-take it like 100 times and it was very irritating to have to rewind 100 times. For the next shot of Cathy getting up, it was difficult to get the full frame we wanted since the bed was on the wall, so we had to move it and it was a huge mess to get the shot.
The next obstacle we encountered was the standing up scene. It need to be seamless in the final version, so getting the leg swing was difficult. Also since in was filmed under the bed, it was super dim, so we came up with the phone lighting idea, i talked about in my previous post. At first we had Cathy put on shoes but after that she put pants on it doesn't make sense. But of course i realize that after we get the perfect shot, so we had to to re-do it.
But by far the most annoying thing was the trip scene. Emily could trip convincingly enough, so we spent a good 20 minutes of me trying to teach Emily how to trip. It just wasn't happening, so i had to do the trip since all that can be seen so far, is Cathy's calves. But since there is mirror right behind Cathy, you could see my upper half. We kept on trying different angles and it took sooo long. We also completely cut out a scene cause it was just awkward.
