Filming day

Wellcooome bbackk to another amazing blog post you amazing people!!! Today we are going to be talking about me and Emily's first filming dayyy!!! We began filming on January 31 after school,  at our first location my house!!!

The first thing we did was stage my room. I had been saving like the bags from chips and other junk foods (lucky my dad had McDonalds for lunch). Along with that we took some clothes and messily tossed it across my room. We also had to change my bed sheets to the whites some white ones. During the filming, my cat was healing from a surgery, so she kept jumping on my sheets and getting them dirty so we had to kick her out.

When we actually started filming we ran into the issue that the incoming light from outside was too bright and it didn't look like early morning. So i had my dad close my shutters on window from the outside. Then we had to begin filming our first shot of the alarm clock. It took wayyy to long and i will spare the details for the challenges post.

Since all the film wasn't going to have any dialogue, i planned to do something similar from the sound project. It was also super nice not to have to worry about talking and laughing while recording. But i also means that we have to put aside a day to doing all the sounds.

The lighting was also a big issue since my room was already pretty dark and we couldn't just turn more lights on. Sooo we had to get a big creative with it. For underneath my bed, i used emily's phone and searched purple lights, to make the purple color more saturated. For the wider shots i had to use me laptop and juggle everything. And for the shot where Cathy fixes her hair, Emily put her phone in the closet to illuminate her face.

Me and Emily determined that we are going to need at least 2 more met up dates. One for finishing up the bathroom scene and exiting the room, and another foley stage day and the dates TBD...
