Welcome backk bloggers. We made it to our finallll filming day. (wooooooo) I knew the film was going to be due sometime around spring break but i wasn't sure exactly when it was due. So, the day that we got back, our teacher had told us that it needed to be turned in by the end of the week and considering that we had to film like a whole minute the video and do the CCR we had a lot on our plate. And we still had to plan what we were going to do that day as well since we weren't initially planning to add this part but since we didn't have sufficient time we had to. So, we had planned to add a segment of her driving, at work, and back at home doing homework. And we had to do it all within one day to have enough time to edit and complete everything else.
So, Tuesday was a very busy day for us after school, but it helped that we planned everything ahead of time. Emily's mom has a cafe that we were going to plan to shoot at, but it closed at 5:00 o'clock so we had to be done around that time. We also had to make sure that the time of day wasn't so different between the shots so we wanted to film all the cars shots at the same time and such but our luck it was overcast that day so there are a couple of different shots that are right next to each other where the sky looks a little different. Our filming schedule for that day was whatever we could do first, so all the shots were out of order chronologically. We were originally planning to do the leaving the driveway scene at Emily's house, but she had some people at her house fixing the door, so we had to come and do it at my house. We got to my house, and we had saved a bunch of the old trash that I had used for messing up my room in her bathroom, so we put all that in her car to make it look super messy. I even had kept a cup of coke from McDonald's and I kind of forgot that I had it there and when I had found it had like molded on top of the surface and it was really gross, but we still included it in the film cause why not.

We got right to filming a couple of shots like her put in the car in reverse and the little dashboard area where the speedometer is because Emily a bunch of the little like warning signs on there so I thought it would be a good idea to have a shot of that. I filmed a little on the way to Emily's mom’s cafe, with shots like her leaving the neighborhood and going down the road and such. We were very safe during this whole process, and I made sure not to distract her too much from making us safe!!!

We got to the cafe and took a bunch of more shots of her working, and I thought it'd be very in character for her to be like a slacker at work so a couple shots of her slacking at work. I was looking around I had found the monitor that has the security camera footage, so I told Emily to like to go to that part where the camera is and just like scroll on her phone and so I think that made-up for a pretty cool shot. we just kind of looked around and thought about which would be the best shots. We filmed a lot more than we needed so just in case we don't have to go back and film since we don't have the time to go do that.

And the next day me and Emily needed to have this paper notarized but Emily didn't have it notarized. So, her mom had told us to go to the other building which she has another cafe at and ask for someone that apparently is a notary and we had to go get the paper notarized in the middle of us filming. Emily was very embarrassed since she was in really casual clothing. That took a couple minutes out of our schedule. And when we got back Emily's mom was saying that we had to go but we weren't finished filming it so we were like trying to rush the end shots and we almost left without getting one of the most important shots where it transitions from her at work and then at home and that would have been really bad. Luckily one of the workers had gotten back from the other restaurant and they were talking for a really long time, and we were waiting there for a while for them to finish talking and we spent like an extra 20 minutes just waiting around which was very valuable time because it was coming close at 6:00 o'clock and the sunset was at 7:30 and I didn't want it to be too late and dark outside. And just to our luck Emily brother need to be picked up as well so that added 10 minutes to our list of lost time.

We continued filming more driving montage from Emily's house back to my house, so we didn't need to drive around and get more shots. We stopped at the Publix parking lot since we forgot to film her pulling into the parking lot at the cafe. We probably looked crazy pulling in and out of different parking spaces and like parking all crooked and making the horn go off a little bit. There was a different car not too far from ours that Emily said that was looking at us as we were filming but everything was necessary for the shots. After we got the rest of the scenes we had headed back home, and my phone was about to die so I had to go and charge it. So, we took a little break back at my house waiting for my phone to not die.
We got back to filming and luckily my neighbor had moved out a little while ago so we're using his house to film since my house had other cars in the driveway. I had thought it had been trash day previously so we could use the trash can as a prop and be able to tilt it over on the floor without trash falling everywhere. But it was the day after, so my trash can was filed with trash. But as I said my neighbor wasn't there so I stole his old trash can. We got our shots of her reversing and smacking the trash can on the floor but it took us a couple times since Emily kept on like missing the trash can or it wouldn't fall over or she was scared with damaging her car and eventually we got a shot that was good but the trash can didn't fall over properly so we just used that one instead because we were very tired and it was starting to rain.

Now we come to our very last scene of her in her room doing homework and those were pretty easy to get sense there's only like 4 shots of that but we were running into the same issue where my room is too dim and so we were having to use my makeup mirror as a light source sends previously, I had used my laptop, but we were using it as a prop in the scene. We came to the very last scene where Emily turns the candle off with her fingers and that was very scary because I didn't want Emily to burn herself after she risked her car's life, I didn't want to burn her little fingers. But everything turned out really well in the end and we got everything that we wanted to get in that day even though I thought it wouldn't be possible.
